Catnap

Catnap = To steal or kidnap a pet cat

How likely is it that a catnapper is going to return the cat they just stole? Maybe 1 out of 10. But to return the cat to a family who doesn't own any cats (or in other word.. the wrong house) - 1 out of a billion.

Cat with gifts

^
This is for you, master!

Years ago, we (my bro and I) adopted a cream coloured tabby. The cat was actually our neighbours' cat. But as the cat keeps visiting us asking for food and shelter, so we decided to care for this cat. We named it Fatin a.k.a Abu Dhabi. It was a male cat. I have no idea why we name it Fatin, as Fatin it was a name for females.

One fine day, Fatin came to our home with a 'present'; a dead rat. He left it on our front door. The next day, he left a dead bird. And the day after that, he gave us a dead frog.

Quote:
"To show their love and their gratitude for your reciprocation, a cat will bring you gifts. Small, furry, living, squealing gifts that will, when loosed, run for cover. Cover in this instance means under your couch. The cat will beam proudly at you and expect you to retrieve the present and play with it, but not before you refill the food bowl and sift the aromatic contents of the plastic Sahara in the corner." - Bud Simpson @ northeastnews.net ~ Source

My niece is a sucker

My niece likes to suck on everything. She sucks and licks anything she gets close to. Her favourite sucking toy is her mittens! Sometimes, her mittens get so wet, we had to change her mittens.

Well, as you can see from the comic, she sucks on our shoulders too. The feeling of being suck was really weird at first as you can feel her small tongue moving, and she makes a very loud sucking sound as well. Usually when she sucks on our shoulders, there'll be this huge wet spot.

By the end of the day, we had to change our cloths. Huhu.

It's likes a baby vampire tries to take a bite on your neck, but this time its your shoulder. Thank God she doesn't have any teeth yet.

Double Celebration

So today's my birthday. I'm officially 25 years old. To those who are curious why my sis is standing next to me; it's because her birthday is on the 18th of July while mine is on the 19th. We are born 6 years + 1 day apart.

About 2 weeks ago, we ordered some cupcakes. I thought we would be ordering 1 set of cupcakes, but noooo.. my sis went 'cupcake crazy' and wanted another set. Both set are based on themes; 'Spongebob Squarepants' and the other one was 'Happy Family' (a flowery pattern). 1 set of cupcakes contains 16 pieces of cupcakes. So that makes 32 pieces of cupcakes altogether! Can finish, ah? Hmm.. I don't know.

Teddy Bear Picnic

My baby niece is in love with this "Teddy Bear Picnic" song. Almost every night we had to entertain her by singing and dancing along with the song. If you never heard this song before click here for the full lyrics and midi file.

Hot Vs Cold

Hmm. My niece likes my room!

Let's recap:
- she likes to be 'shaken' <- I invented this
- she likes to listen to the 'Teddy Bear Picnic' song <- this is my fav song, nobody else in my family knows the song
- she likes my room

Ehehe. And I started the 'shaking' and the song!! Wahh! What's next?

Chicky-licious

Erk. My niece likes my Chicky too! I don't know whether she likes it as a toy or bcoz she thinks its food. I caught her licking my Chicky several times. Ehehehe. Chicky-licious. Yum yum!

Let's recap again:
- she likes to be 'shaken'
- she likes to listen to the 'Teddy Bear Picnic' song
- she likes my room
- she likes my Chicky

Got milk?

My sis have this tendency to put things, especially breakable ones, near the edge of a table. Usually its like 1 cm or 1 inch away from the edge of the table. Its her habit. It doesn't matter how many times we tell her, she keeps doing it.

So there was this one time, she wanted me to open a tetra pack milk. And once I screwed open the cap, I accidentally knocked down her mug filled with hot Milo she just made a few seconds ago. I didn't see the mug as it was right behind the milk, and I was at a sitting position.

The mug was 1 cm away from the edge of the table. Thank God I quickly grabbed the mug (at the same time, scalding my hands from the hot Milo) before it fell on the floor. But the Milo was all over the place. My sis quickly grabbed the mop. I washed my hands and continued to have my lunch while scolding my sis on why she keeps putting her things so close to the edge. Wahahaha. It was her fault, right?

Mr. Monkey R.I.P

Part I

A guy from Jabatan Perhilitan came to our house to meet my Dad. He came to solve our monkey problem. They had placed several traps around the mini jungle. They also hired a few people to shoot (no I'm not kidding) the monkeys. I thought they would actually transfer the monkeys into a zoo or something. I guess they had more than enough monkeys. So.. on Thursday, my sis and I just got back from shopping when we saw a corpse of a monkey (a Siamang/Gibbon to be exact) laying beside a tree in front of our house. Erk. Why did they shoot a Siamang? The Siamang has never been a nuisance in our neighbourhood. It was the other type of monkey who was terrorizing the neighbourhood. It's the brown fuzzy one with the black face, not the black monkey with the white face. Haiyah. Poor siamang!

Part II

Yesterday, we noticed an awful smell coming from the trees in front of our house. I realized it was the dead monkey which was rotting away. A pack of dogs (3 dogs) were seen to be eating the monkeys' remains. Yuck. I even took the chance to take some photos. The dogs in the comic above are the actual dogs who ate the monkey. I hope they didn't get tummy ache after eating that monkey.

I'm Small Enough

Baby Maya Afiqah has this mosquito net that basically looks like a 'tudung saji'. She has another one that looks like a camping tent. I was so curious to see whether I could fit in the 'tudung saji'. I tried and was successful on my 1st attempt.

A Smelly Suprise

This happened a few of month ago. I had a job interview a day after that, so I went to get my bag to get my things ready. And to my surprise, I found something in my bag - something very smelly. Huhu. It was 2 kuihs (1 pulut panggang and 1 kuih badak pedas) in a plastic wrap that my mum gave me a week before. I totally forgot that I left it in my bag. It was all moldy and the smell was OMG. Can pengsan! -_-

I threw it in the dustbin and I sprayed my bag with lots and lots of perfume before washing it. Wahahaha.
